It all started just four months ago when 3 women met and decided to help each other with their businesses. At the time each were trying to source digital products for use in their business, and each were feeling overwhelmed and frustrated by the experience. So the decision was made to start a group in which they could pool their resources, share information and invite others who were also in the business of digital D4O’s. The group soon grew and at last count we had 73 members with applications for membership still coming in every week.
Even as the group grew in numbers, the same story was being heard over and over again, about how each person felt overwhelmed and frustrated in trying to find products for use in their business on their own. We were accumulating links to resource designers that we knew allowed professional use, but it was cumbersome, not at all that user friendly and difficult to maintain. We mused that there must be a better way.
This blog and its directories is the final outcome of those musings. We are providing a directory listing of resource designers that allow for Professional use (subject to the terms as listed in the relevant TOU), complete with links to the store or blog where the products can be found, as well as a link to the TOU so that the terms are known upfront and most importantly from our perspective a visual guide to those terms. It is this visual guide that we hope the designers on this list will embrace.
In addition to this most important directory this site aims to provide quality information and resources to be accessed by many people for a variety of reasons. For example:
- If you are a member of the public looking to commission a designer to create a quality digital scrapbook, photoart or other digital craft item for you then you will want to search our DD4O Directory.
- If you are a digital product designer that is looking for resources and information to help you in your DD4O business then we have a number of resources for you.
- this blog will contain articles of interest to those in the business of designing scrapbooks etc for clients
- we have published a directory of digital resource designers who allow for professional use (check individual TOU’s)
- we have information on how to join our private Bulletin Board where you can network and share information with other women in the industry.
- If you are a digital resource (kit) designer and you would like to market your products to this growing industry, then of course we cater for you as well.
So from the small beginnings of 3 women and a desire to share resources big things have grown.
